Port Hedland International Airport has been honoured with the Large Regional Airport of the Year award at the Australian Airports Association (AAA) National Industry Awards 2023. This accolade highlights the airport’s role as a crucial gateway to the Pilbara and Northwest Australia, connecting to the world’s largest bulk export port. With up to 50 commercial flights weekly, it offers direct service to Perth, serving over 500,000 passengers annually.

The airport’s continued excellence is underscored by its two-year run as a finalist for Regional Airport of the Year. This achievement reflects the outstanding leadership of Hayley Vale, recognised with the Emerging Airport Leader Award for her pivotal role in the terminal’s upgrade.

At UFL Airports International, we are proud to have contributed to this project by providing essential components such as Check-in Counters, PGS (Passenger Guidance Systems), Luggage Trolleys, and Security Luggage tubs.

Our solutions played a key role in enhancing the airport’s modernised infrastructure and overall passenger experience. And as always, a complete pleasure working with Hayley Vale and the team at PHIA.

Port Hedland International Airport is not just a transport hub; it’s a vital link connecting the Pilbara to the world. We are thrilled to have been part of this remarkable journey.
