Lluscà Design
Born in Barcelona, Josep Llusca studied industrial design at the EINA School in Barcelona. He launched his studio specialising in industrial design and product development in 1972. He teaches and is a member of the Governing Council of the Product Design Department. He is a former Vice-President of the Asociacion de Diseñadores Industriales para el Fomento de las Artes Decorativas (ADI-FAD); the Association of Industrial Designers for the Promotion of the Decorative Arts in Barcelona, and a former member of the Advisory Council on Design of the Catalan regional government.
The studio has successfully collaborated on new product creation strategies for a wide variety of clients for major industrial sectors in Spain and include public facilities, electrical appliances and household furnishings, lighting and furniture, leisure articles and toys, applied and consumer electronics, structural packaging. As the result of their wide-ranging experience, numerous products designed by Lluscà Design are market leaders in their category and have been acknowledged with prestigious international awards.
